SHANKSY

Shanksy, AKA Francis Shanks, is a born and bred Mackay Queensland local with around 20 active years in the music scene. The once front man for local band Gravel Rash spent 13 years belting out pub rock in almost every venue in the Mackay region.

Supporting bands like The Angels and Bondi Cigars, Shanksy then had a 13 year break due to family commitments. Now he is back with a renewed passion to perform—albeit on a smaller scale—with acoustic solo gigs featuring a wide variety of songs and performers including Creedence, Eagles, Paul Kelly, Tom Petty, Cat Stevens, Rodriguez and more.

With a good combination of rock and blues classics, just Shanksy with his guitar straight up raw has grown an increasing number of followers keen to enjoy his talented performances.
